| Heh, caught this in the background earlier today an' thought "well, this is a track screaming out fer a synthy-electro cover".... Shamefuly, I then realised what track it was... my, bad :( ....
Awesome song, always... | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today me and 'Wheels' Maxwell formed an Elite Bristol Extraction Squad that infiltrated London under cover of a white van to snatch back one of our own..
The costs were high (we stopped at a service station.. Oh, and Clive twisted his ankle) but we were ultimately successful... Never leave a man behind people..(well, at least in Camden ;) ) | comments: Leave a comment |

| heh, this morning I made it from the house to work in a record-breaking (for me) 24 minutes (its usually a 35 min walk)... Unfortunately, a good 20 minutes of this was in torrential rain (and me without an umbrella or sensible coat)
I also took a massive tumble when sprinting (splashing?) through Castle Green... Have bruised both my leg and my pride.. Luckily I was already soaked so the puddle made no real difference... >:(
but still... 24 minutes | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| heh, just got a call from Barclays fraud department regarding a "suspicious" transaction on my debit card..
Last night I used paypal for an e-bay purchase. When making the transaction I generously donated £1 to their sponsored charity (meh, I'd had some wine)... This apparently set alarm bells ringing at Barclays as, to quote the guy, "...you don't usually donate to charities"
eh? So basically they're calling me tight?! | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

| Well... This weekend I finally got busted for using an... um... "amended" Young Persons Railcard.... Am now "officially" a grown-up... Although interestingly, On Saturday, I took my 13-year-old Niece upto Tesco to buy my Dad a bottle of Port for his birthday ... Only to be refused sale because my clearly 13 year-old Niece did not look over 25 and there was no way to prove "our family relationship"... No, seriously!... I know it was Cornwall an' all but wtf?!?
(if it'd been a couple of bottles of alcopop then I could see their point... but Port?! Has YoOf-taste changed that much since my days when all ya needed was a bottle of MD 20/20?!?... heh, should probably ask my Niece....) | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Heh, currently watching an episode of Minder on ITV-'something-or-other' with a very young Ray Winstone and Jimmy Nail as an irish tinker! (and confusingly a, still very old-looking, June Whitfield... Was she ever young?)
Minder is awesome! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| Today people, crazy as it sounds, you will want to buy NME! (No, seriously!...

See!? told ya!)
Tonight I saw the awesome Neon Neon at The Trinity Centre.. Not only fantastic songs about the life, loves and death of John DeLorean but HAR MAR SUPERSTAR as a special guest! -Don't think I've seen a band have so much fun on stage! (was actually worth the 20+ mins of waiting in the frickin' cold and rain)
-Crazily, they were one of those bands that I didn't expect I'd ever see without much travel and mild trauma... So imagine the surprise when it turned out that they were playing a rainy Tuesday night, just around the corner! :) | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |

| Hi Guys,
We wanted to let you know that as of August 2008, Goteki will be reforming. We're very excited to be resurrecting the band, and are already working on new material.
The decision came after a charity reunion gig we played earlier this year - it made us realize how much we love performing the songs. Plus our new band Lamorna was starting to sound more and more like Goteki, so the decision was easy.
So far the confirmed line-up is me, Ross Tregenza ( who you may know as Sneaky ) on synths and vocals, and Alastair Power ( aka Ali-Star of Goteki / Lamorna ) on Bass. We'll be looking to expand the band out with either veteran Goteki stars or new musicians as time goes on.
We are currently compiling a 'best of' collection of everything so far, plus outtakes, remixes and live versions that'll appear on iTunes, and a new EP 'Santa Muerte' which we plan to release this winter.
Check out http://www.myspace.com/goteki for more news.
